Current Research Area / Interests
My research is mainly focused on understanding the molecular mechanism(s) associated with mechanical overload induced skeletal muscle plasticity and cell signaling transduction utilizing the Obese Zucker Rat (Leprfa), the best experimental model that mimic type 2 diabetes in humans and also working on microRNAs to understand the role of different microRNAs in the overload induced adaptation in diabetic skeletal muscle
