Lawrence Schmitz has
a BS in Chemistry from St. John's University (Collegeville, MN), an MS
in Organic Chemistry from the University of Montana, and a Ph.D. in
Physical Organic Chemistry from the University of Calgary. Over the
course of his career, his research interests have included the
observation of carbocations in superacid solutions, molecular
mechanics, calculating thermodynamic properties using ab initio
calculations, and the application of Atoms in Molecules (AIM) theory to
molecules or ions believed to contain multicenter bonds. |
